FAQ

BLYYD is a group offering comprehensive solutions for the electrification of logistics and industrial sites. Since 2015, the Group has set the standard for the operation of yard tractor fleets. Today, the company is expanding its offering to a comprehensive industrial solution: development, design, manufacturing, and operational services for energy-efficient, high-performance material handling that can be deployed on a large scale. And tractors that are 100% made in France.

The BY 44T will be unveiled this coming September at its 100% French production facility and will be marketed throughout Europe: Blyyd has announced a 3- to 5-year goal of producing about 100 vehicles per year.

This “100% made in France” initiative is backed by 3.5 million in equity investment and supported by an additional 5 million euros raised through funding.

After ten years of delivering services to yard operators, BLYYD has reached a major industrial milestone, becoming a true French manufacturing success story. As a new industrial champion of French-made innovation, CEO Damien Gambey is seeing his long-term strategy come to fruition.

“In 2016, electrifying terminal tractors was an environmental choice. By 2026, it has become a social, economic, and financial imperative. We have been preparing for this market maturity for the past ten years. Industrial innovation only succeeds over the long term—through anticipation, the right level of investment, and a clear long-term vision.”

The reason the Meridiam investment fund invested 5 million euros in Blyyd on June 18, 2026, is that this allows the Lyon-based group to maintain its leading position. The logistics market has already attracted 19 billion in investment in the first half of 2025, driven in particular by e-commerce growth estimated at 7.8% per year through 2029.

Éric Rey and Julien Renaud, through their impact fund, the Green Impact Growth Fund (GIGF), state:

“The transformation of supply chains and logistics is a major challenge for our society: they account for a significant portion of CO₂ emissions and operational costs, with a direct impact on the climate, employment, and purchasing power. Blyyd is one step ahead, with unique expertise dedicated to responsible and innovative ‘Made in France’ solutions.”

BLYYD is now capitalizing on its “vehicle-as-a-service” vision, in which vehicle electrification is designed to increase the net value of fleets by adapting to the highly constrained economic needs of fleet managers. This strategy has proven successful, with more than 160 vehicles deployed in France and, since 2022, throughout Europe (the United Kingdom, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Poland, Belgium, the Czech Republic, and Luxembourg).

A yard tractor is used to move trailers and containers at logistics sites. Whether gasoline-powered or refurbished, traditional vehicles are noisy, polluting, difficult to maneuver, and inefficient. BLYYD’s BY44T 2026, a fully electric vehicle, is revolutionizing the decarbonization of these sites, reducing their operating costs, and making field work less strenuous. The onboard technologies incorporate the latest global innovations. Thanks to high-quality services, customers will be able to deploy their entire fleets. These services enable customers to scale projects appropriately and customize their financing options.
